First song cycle and album, recorded and released in 2009. All songs by Koyote, cover art by Bård Tjelta. Recorded, mixed and mastered with Lars Toverud in Iskremboden studios, in a forest near Oslo. Eight songs, one instrumental track, and one written piece, between song 6 and 7, that doesn't have music, but is included in the cover art as a separate insert. ABOUT
This song cycle is a story about a bear, a wolf, and a coyote. It's about getting lost in bliss and terror and finding your way out again. Repeat as necessary.
The bear is at the center of these songs. He sang to the wolf, while Koyote sang to him and howled at the moon with her (the wolf). The bear and the wolf gave Koyote a key to their worlds, but it so happened that this key also opened Koyote's dark dungeons and dusty, forgotten wine cellar. The dungeons were swept clean and re-purposed as guest rooms and storage for bulbs and jam in winter, and the wine brought up to be shared in good company. I hope you enjoy the vintage - it was an interesting year!
